Chemical carrier explosion in China kills two

An explosion on a chemical carrier has killed two sailors and contaminated waters in the nearby area in eastern China Zhejiang province Thursday morning.
Loaded with 120 tonnes of carbon dioxide, the ship sank immediately after the explosion at a dedicated dock for a chemical factory in Tangqi Township, Yuhang District, in the provincial capital Hangzhou, reported Xinhua News Agency.
Two sailors on board died at the scene and four people on nearby vessels and on the dock were injured according to a spokesman with the Hangzhou Municipal Fire Control Brigade.
