The Guangzhou Panyuqu Yuefeng Ship Building & Repairing Facility is preparing to deliver a solid 118-foot (36-meter) ocean-towing tug.
A five-meter moulded depth on a 34.5-foot (10.5-meter) beam allows for a spacious engine room to accommodate the tug’s twin Cummins KTA50-M2 main engines. The V-16 cylinder engines produce 1600 HP each at 1800 RPM and turn into Reintjes WAF664L gears. That power will give the tug a 12-knot speed and a 40-ton bollard pull.
